01 · Eat
Breakfast & lunch
Fluffy pancakes, golden waffles, three-egg omelets at dawn — then juicy burgers and country-fried chicken come lunch. Made fresh, served with a smile.
A-Side — The Diner
Classic Southern comfort, griddled fresh from the first crack of dawn — and there’s always a record on. No WiFi, only hi-fi.
On the turntable — soul, country & morning classics
B-SIDE — NIGHTS ONLY
The night side of the family. Pop spins records most nights — soul, funk, roots — over cold drinks and bar bites. Needle on wax, one more song.
What we do
01 · Eat
Fluffy pancakes, golden waffles, three-egg omelets at dawn — then juicy burgers and country-fried chicken come lunch. Made fresh, served with a smile.
02 · Drink
Hot, strong, and always topped off. Fresh-brewed coffee, hot tea, ice-cold sodas and juices — simple refreshment that pairs with any plate.
03 · Savor
Solo breakfast with the paper, lunch with friends, the whole family on a weekend. Pull up a chair — come as you are, we’re glad you’re here.
IN HIS MEMORY
Pop’s Place is named for the owner’s father — the man in the photograph, hat on, lowering the needle onto a record. He’s the reason there are turntables in here and not a speaker in the ceiling.
His pictures hang all through the room. The whole place is built the way he kept a room: warm light, good food within reach, and something always playing.
01 · SPIN
Pop behind the decks, pulling from walls of records and cassettes. Soul, funk, roots, whatever the room calls for — no playlists, no shuffle. Just needle on wax.
02 · SIP
Grab a stool at the metal-backed bar under the red bulbs. Cold beer, easy pours, and a room that glows like a diner after hours.
03 · STAY
Part lounge, part living room — a disco ball overhead, retro rigs in the corners, walls of photos honoring the man it’s named for. There’s always one more song.
Word around town
“A hidden Tallahassee gem! The food is exceptional, the music is on vinyl, and they never let you run out of coffee.”
“Feels like home from the moment you walk in — friendly faces and that classic diner atmosphere.”
“Shelby and all the staff were wonderful. I enjoyed the locals sitting at the bar. I went two days in a row.”
“No WiFi, only hi-fi — love it! A real record player and great, welcoming people.”
SOFT OPENING
Pop’s Place is in its soft-opening phase: nights only, right next door to Ma’s. Hours shift week to week while we tune the room — stop by, grab a stool, and tell us what you think.

FLIP THE RECORD
Ma’s Diner opens bright and early next door — pancakes, hot coffee, and the morning paper. Same family, A-side.
